If you’ve been dreaming about an intimate wedding surrounded by pine trees, lake views, and the people you love most, Broken Bow may be the perfect place for you! Between Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow Lake, and all the beautiful cabins throughout Hochatown, there are so many ways to create an elopement that feels completely like you.
Eloping doesn’t mean your day has to feel rushed or any less special. You can still get ready together or separately, include your closest family and friends, exchange vows somewhere beautiful, cut a cake, and spend time exploring for photos afterward. Your day can be as simple or as detailed as you want it to be!
beavers bend state park
Beavers Bend State Park is easily one of my favorite places for an elopement in Broken Bow. Between the soaring pines, hiking trails, Mountain Fork River, and gorgeous views, we can create so many different looks without having to travel very far.
You could exchange your vows beneath the trees, take portraits by the water, and end the evening with golden-hour photos. It’s perfect for couples who want something adventurous and outdoorsy without their day feeling overly complicated.
The park can get pretty busy during weekends, holidays, and peak travel seasons, so I recommend choosing a weekday or planning an early-morning ceremony if you want a little more privacy.
a private hochatown cabin
If you want something more private and relaxed, a Hochatown cabin is such a good option! You can get ready there, have your ceremony outside, cut a cake, celebrate with your closest people, and never have to worry about traveling between several different places.
Cabins are also great because they give you a backup plan if the weather decides not to cooperate. Many have beautiful decks, fireplaces, wooded areas, and outdoor spaces that can still give us plenty of variety for your photographs.
Before booking your cabin, make sure the owner allows ceremonies and professional photography. Even if you’re only inviting a few people, some cabins have guest limits or require an additional event fee.

If you love the idea of water, rocky shorelines, and gorgeous sunset photos, Broken Bow Lake would be absolutely beautiful for your elopement. It gives you a completely different look from the heavily wooded areas, and we can still visit both if you want a little bit of everything in your gallery.
You could exchange your vows beside the lake, have a small picnic afterward, or visit the shoreline for couple portraits after a ceremony at your cabin. The lake is especially gorgeous around sunset, but the exact look of the shoreline can change depending on the weather and water level.
cedar bluff trail
Cedar Bluff Trail is perfect if you want your photographs to feel a little more adventurous. The trees, natural scenery, and elevated views can make your elopement feel secluded and romantic without needing a huge setup.
The trail may include rocks, inclines, mud, or uneven ground, so I definitely recommend bringing comfortable shoes for the walk. You can always change into your wedding shoes when we reach the location!
This option is best for couples who don’t mind walking a little and want the photography portion of their day to feel like a fun experience we’re having together.
permits, timing, and weather
Before officially choosing your location, contact the park or cabin owner to find out whether you need permission, a reservation, or a special permit. Requirements can depend on your location, guest count, decorations, and any equipment you plan to bring.
For the prettiest lighting, I normally recommend planning your ceremony or couple portraits during the final one to two hours before sunset. If you don’t mind waking up early, sunrise can also be gorgeous and usually gives you a little more privacy!
Oklahoma weather can change its mind pretty quickly, so having a backup plan is always a good idea. A covered cabin deck, clear umbrellas, and a flexible timeline can save the day if it rains. During the summer, bring water, bug spray, and comfortable shoes. If you’re eloping during the colder months, keep a jacket or blanket nearby that you can easily remove for photos.

I offer three elopement packages for couples celebrating in Broken Bow, Hochatown, Beavers Bend, and the surrounding areas!
one hour elopement - $350
This package is perfect for a simple ceremony followed by portraits of the two of you. It works best if everything is happening in one location and you’re planning a short, relaxed timeline.
two hour elopement - $600
This gives us more time for your ceremony, couple portraits, family photos, and all the little details you’ve put together. We may also have time to visit another nearby location without making your day feel rushed.
three hour elopement - $850
This option is for couples who want more of their day captured! It can include getting ready, the ceremony, family photos, couple portraits, and a small celebration afterward. We’ll have more time to explore and create a gallery that tells the full story of your elopement.
Travel fees may apply depending on your exact location. We’ll talk through your plans, what matters most to you, and which package makes the most sense before you officially book anything.
